Sometimes I think I am more in love with the planning than the doing, but I think most people can say that. Right now we have two coops; one for the five big girls out at the farm behind our house, and one mini-coop for the little babies that resides in our actual yard.</p> <p>On weekends, the big chickens roam the farm. This is fine now, as most plots are covered in leaf mold. It is no accident that so many of my friends are crazy-talented food people. Anna Watson is just one of them. I was thinking about her the other day, how you meet people that change the course of your life. Maybe everyone you meet does, but Anna’s serendipitous waltz into our deli in 2002 (?) was to change my life forever.</p> <p>I also love following her blog <a href="http://www.theyellowtable.com/">The Yellow Table.</a> Great recipes from her snug and lively apartment in NYC, her travels around the glove and her wonderful love affair with a man she just happens to be married to.</p> <p>This timeline of how Anna started a ball rolling to where I am today is as close as I will get to uttering “everything happens for a reason.”</p> <p>2003 - Pregnant and running our neighborhood deli and market, I was introduced to Anna through the Southern institution that is Daisy King.</p> <p>2004 - Anna introduced me to Steve Mydelski, who I schlepped along side with at Viking Culinary Center, and then acted as his marketing consultant for his start up company Let’s Cook!</p> <p>2005 - Steve introduced me to Jeff Themm, the new Director of the Nashville Farmers Market, while were trying to organize a local food event.</p> <p>2005 - Jeff hired me as his Marketing Director.
